Who this page is for

Expert Witness Instructions

Fred accepts instructions from solicitors, private clients and corporate parties in connection with property valuation disputes.

He has acted as both a single joint expert and a party-appointed expert. He also accepts expert determination appointments.

Reports are prepared independently, with clear reasoning and appropriate regard to the relevant procedural and professional requirements.

Typical instructions cover matters such as matrimonial and probate valuations, professional negligence claims, misrepresentation disputes and diminution-in-value assessments, where an independent and defensible opinion of value is required.

Each instruction is approached with the same standard of rigour: a thorough inspection where appropriate, careful consideration of the relevant market evidence, and a report structured to be clear and useful to solicitors, their clients and other professional parties involved in the matter.

Party Wall Enquiries

Pilkington Real Estate provides an initial point of contact for Party Wall enquiries.

Where formal or specialist appointments are required, the matter may be coordinated with a suitably experienced Party Wall surveyor.

This can include enquiries relating to notices served or received under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, general guidance on the process for property owners and their advisers, and introductions to appropriately qualified surveyors where a formal appointment is required.

Solicitors and other professional advisers are welcome to make contact on behalf of a client to discuss the nature of an enquiry before any formal steps are taken.

Discuss an instruction with Fred Pilkington.

Get in touch to discuss a valuation, expert witness or Party Wall matter, and Fred will confirm whether the practice can assist.

Please include the nature of the instruction, the property or properties involved, and any relevant deadlines, so that an informed response can be given as quickly as possible.
